Calling all Pugs!! You’re invited to strut your stuff with us on Sunday December 7th!
We are excited to announce that Squishy Pup Meetup has been selected to participate in the La Jolla Christmas Parade! This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the holiday season in one of San Diego’s most cherished traditions, and we cannot wait to showcase our festive pug community.
Theme: Holiday Sweaters and Festive Pajamas
To keep our group coordinated and full of holiday cheer, we ask that:
All pups wear a festive piece of flair, like a holiday sweater or accessories, if they are comfortable doing so
All humans wear holiday sweaters or other festive clothing and accessories
Please note: Parade organizers require that there are no additional Santas featured in the event. The parade will include one official Santa Claus at the finale, so we kindly ask that no participants dress as Santa. Other holiday-themed costumes and accessories are welcomed and encouraged. Pug strollers are welcome as well.
RSVP is required for participation. All confirmed attendees will receive day-of instructions and planning updates as more details become available from parade organizers.
This will be a joyful experience filled with holiday spirit, adorable pugs, and community celebration. We look forward to strutting our stuff together and helping spread pugtastic holiday cheer. Let’s make magical holiday memories together!
About Squishy Pup Meetup
This group was created because our sweet pug, Cheddar, would like to make new friends and because we love meeting other squishy pups. We adopted Cheddar from Pug Nation in July 2024 and he brings us so much joy and happiness so we wanted to do more to give the same to him.
Join us for fun local events around the San Diego region to celebrate our squishy pups. Future events will include local park meetups, happy hours, pack walks, and fundraising events for our local dog rescues. All small squishy faced breeds are welcomed.
