Calling all Pugs!! You’re invited to strut your stuff with us on Saturday March 14th!
We’re excited to share that Squishy Pup Meetup has been selected to participate in the 44th Annual San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
This is another fun opportunity for our pug community to come together, dress up our pugs, and enjoy a festive day celebrating one of San Diego’s favorite parades.
Marching side by side with our dogs, soaking in the energy of the crowd, and watching our pugs bring smiles to everyone along the parade route is what these events are all about. The San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the perfect setting to celebrate friendship, community, and the unmistakable charm of pugs.
We can’t wait to make more joyful parade memories together and share a little extra pug love with San Diego.

Confirmed RSVP is required to participate. Fill out form below to submit your RSVP. Space is limited.
More information regarding day of participation and arrival times at our parade staging location will be announced once parade organizers finalize the parade lineup. Our assigned arrival time should be sometime between 1-2 hours prior to the start of the parade. Parade starting location is on the western edge of Balboa Park on Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street.
Rescue Pugs: Several spots are reserved exclusively for rescue pugs. Ask for more information.
To maximize the amount of pug participants we are limiting 3 people per pug (exceptions can be made for children).
Post-Parade Yappy Hour location and time will be announced as we get closer to the event.
We will need volunteers to hold our Pugs On Parade banner and hype up our rescue pugs available for adoption. Reach out if you’re interested in helping out.

To keep our group coordinated and full of holiday cheer, we ask that:
Pugs
Bows, bandanas, hats, PJs, sweaters, scarves, bells, or costumes are all great options for your festive squishy pup. Get creative!
Bring water and poop bags.
Pug strollers and carts very welcome. Get creative with decorating them!
Leashes must be kept to a length of 6 foot or less. All dogs must be leashed. We are a huge group so please be mindful of other participants.
Humans
Fun festive shirts, dresses, sweaters, scarves, hats, accessories, and costumes. Green or Irish inspired clothing and accessories. Please be respectful of Irish culture.

About Squishy Pup Meetup
This group was created because our sweet pug, Cheddar, would like to make new friends and because we love meeting other squishy pups. We adopted Cheddar from Pug Nation in July 2024 and he brings us so much joy and happiness so we wanted to do more to give the same to him.
Join us for fun local events around the San Diego region to celebrate our squishy pups. Future events will include local park meetups, happy hours, pack walks, and fundraising events for our local dog rescues. All small squishy faced breeds are welcomed.
